Thank you for your interest in Venture Security. Anyone who wishes to work as a security operative with us must hold the correct valid SIA license to practice. However, we are prepared to hear from those with the right personality who do not yet hold a license, as we may be able to arrange your training. To be a security operative at Venture you should:

Be physically fit
Be an excellent communicator
Have exceptional customer service skills
Be able to make decisions quickly
Have a sound knowledge of licensing law (door supervisors)
Be able to defuse potentially violent situations
Have a clear understanding of health and safety
Be willing to continually develop yourself through relevant training

Security Screening

A security officer holds a position of trust and responsibility and it is crucial that individuals are carefully selected and vetted from the start. With this in mind background checks will be undertaken on all applicants. This will include both employment and character references, right to work, and financial and criminal record checks in line with BS7858:2006+A2:2009. You must be able to provide evidence of your employment and address history during the past five years with no breaks of more than one month.
