Andover Carnival

Andover Carnival

Venture provided consultancy, equipment and over twenty security personnel, all free‐of‐charge, to support Andover Carnival in 2010. The Andover Carnival organisers are a group of local businesses and community‐minded people who, three years ago, realised we all shared a common goal ‐ to bring the Carnival back to Andover, and reignite a sense of community spirit.

Rainbow Centre

Rainbow Centre

In 2010, Venture Security’s Managing Director, Paul Howe, ran the London Marathon in aid of The Rainbow Centre. Paul raised £1500 in sponsorship thanks the generous donations of his clients, colleagues, friends and family. The Rainbow Centre helps children with motor impairment learn to overcome their difficulties using a system of learning called Conductive Education. Conductive Education in its fullest form is a unified system of rehabilitation for people with neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy and improves mobility, builds selfesteem, teaches daily living skills and develops social and verbalisation abilities. The Rainbow Centre provides for young children, sometimes as young as six months, and since 1990 it has helped over 400 children from seven of the Southern Counties(Hampshire & IOW, Dorset, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Kent). The Centre can also help motor impaired adults with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and those recovering from strokes to gain greater mobility and independence.

Schools Project

Schools Project

In 2009, Venture Security became the first business in Hampshire, and the first security company in England to sign up to the Schools Alcohol Awareness Project. The Schools Alcohol Awareness Project is a new education initiative which encourages young people to adopt responsible attitudes towards alcohol. It is delivered in partnership with teachers but is not a government initiative. Its success is due entirely to the support of BII members across the UK. The BII is a national charity and the professional body for the licensed retail sector. With over 17,500 members, it promotes high standards, good employment practice and social responsibility within the industry.
