Andover security company in action at leading industry awards

Andover security specialist, Venture Security, has been recognised with a leading industry award for a seventh consecutive year.

The ACS Pacesetters awards recognise the top performing security companies and officers of distinction in the UK.

Venture has been protecting homes and businesses across the south of England for more than 15 years. The company employs around 100 people and is consistently ranked within the top 1% of UK security providers by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

As well as commercial security, the company provides event security services for many of the region’s top events, including House Festival and the summer solstice at Stonehenge. This year, for the first time, the team will also be at Glastonbury Festival, Forest Live and Boomtown.

Managing director, Paul Howe, commented: “We’re so proud of the team we have pulled together at Venture, who are out there every day making a difference. Something we know our customers really value is that we’re a locally based team and also that we provide real-time information on what our officers are doing, through our cutting-edge security management system V-Secure.

“It’s an exciting time for us, as we are targeting significant growth in the coming years. This is seeing us recruit across all areas, including for our event security team, who will very soon be heading to the most famous music festival in the country, Glastonbury.“

Venture works with both private and public sector organisations, ranging from small businesses to events organisers and many household names, including Stannah Group, Britax, Simplyhealth, Animal Friends, Stonehenge and Salisbury Racecourse.

Venture’s officers can also be spotted in action in towns and city centres across the region where they support councils and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), to help tackle anti-social behaviour. The Winchester BID Rangers scheme being one of the most well-respected schemes of its kind in the country.
