Venture more than doubles score for accreditation success

Venture Security, the Andover based manned security company, continues to excel in the industry having received re-accreditation in two of the most highly sought after quality certifications in the sector, the Security Industry Authority’s Approved Contractor Scheme (SIA ACS) and ISO9001:2008.

In the past, Venture has received the ACS and ISO9001 accreditation for just the Door Supervision arm of its business however this year Paul Howe, Managing Director, took the decision to open up the assessment to cover all areas of the business, which include; security guarding and mobile patrols, keyholding and alarm response and close protection services.

Paul Howe said, “We have far exceeded all expectations with an 158% score increase on our initial ACS and ISO9001 assessment score which now puts us in the top 5% of medium sized approved companies! We opened up the assessment to include three new sectors and we are just short of the top 5% of all approved security companies in the UK. We first entered the SIA’s ACS scheme back in 2009 scoring a respectable 41, and we have continued to grow this score year on year, showing development and growth within our business to achieve a score of 106 this year.”

As well as the high ACS score, Venture also obtained ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for all areas of the business. ISO 9001:2008 is one of the world’s most widely recognised standards and is known as the international reference for quality management requirements in business-to-business dealings.

Anthony Robson, Venture’s Operations Manager, stated that “This is another major achievement for our company and gives existing and prospective clients the opportunity to use Venture as the company of choice for its security provision. Clients can be safe in the knowledge that they are getting the best value-added security service available.”
