Vacancies - Event Stewards/Parking Stewards (unlicensed)

For more than a decade, Venture has provided professional security services for some of the most prestigious sporting and entertainment events in the region. From horse racing meets - including the world famous Epsom Derby - to ice hockey, music festivals, concerts, and corporate and community events.

The work of an event steward or parking steward is varied and interesting, covering outdoor events including festivals, sporting events etc. The fundamental role of a Steward is to ensure all patrons have a safe and enjoyable customer experience.

Responsible to:

Depending on the size of the event applicants will either be responsible to the Head of Security or Team Supervisor.

Role involves:

  • Working as part of a team
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Deliver the best possible customer service at all times
  • Carry out pre-event checks of venues where necessary
  • Monitor crowds for signs of overcrowding and difficulties in busy areas
  • Reporting any security/safety concerns to your Supervisor or Event Control
  • Make yourself aware of onsite facilities and be ready for questions from members of the public
  • Respond to emergencies - by raising the alarm and providing necessary and appropriate immediate help and assisting the emergency services as required
  • Carry out various assignments and jobs including ticket checking, car park marshalling, hospitality and providing general directions
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both Written and Verbal
  • Communication with team members and event control
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints

  • Ideally you will have a driving licence and your own transport to get to site, however this is not essential
