House Festival

House Festival, held at Kenwood House in London, has been dubbed “the poshest festival in the world”. The festival is members club Soho House’s annual music and food festival and is renowned for attracting A-list performers and attendees alike, with the 2019 line-up including Black Eyed Peas, Franz Ferdinand and Groove Armada. Over 10,000 festival goers attend the event daily.

Stonehenge Summer Solstice

Stonehenge is an iconic world heritage site that has been a place of worship and celebration at the time of Summer Solstice for thousands of years. The free to attend event sees up to 20,000 visitors from across the world, visiting the Wiltshire monument to watch the sun rise on the longest day of the year.

Armed Forces Day 2019 – National Event Salisbury

Armed Forces Day honours the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. It is celebrated every June. Venture was proud to manage security for the national event in 2019, which was held in Salisbury. 140 SIA licensed security operatives and stewards were in place, managing crowds of more than 65,000 across the three days.

London Marathon

Venture was delighted to support the security detail for the London Marathon, taking prime position at the finish line of the world-famous race. With around 43,000 participants, as well as thousands of supporters, onlookers and media outlets lining the course, the security operation was huge. Venture’s team had responsibility for looking after the area immediately after the finish line, where participants were presented with a medal and goody bag.

Salisbury Racecourse - case study

Salisbury Racecourse

Salisbury Racecourse, located in Wiltshire, plays host to 16 race days annually. With a choice of three enclosures, spectator numbers can reach up to 9,000. Venture has handled security for Salisbury Racecourse since 2014, providing a 50-stong team that includes security officers, car park attendants and event stewards.

D-Day

Every year, around 15,000 thousand of people flock to Solent Airport at Daedalus to commemorate the D-Day landing at Normandy. Visitors enjoy a full programme of events in both the arena and on the stage, as well as aerial displays, static aircraft, a classic car display and children’s funfair. Venture has managed security for this event since 2017, including the safety and protection of visitors, VIPs an VVIPs.

OVO Energy Tour Series

Salisbury plays host to some of Britain’s best cycling teams and riders, when the OVO Energy Tour Series makes its way through the city. Watched by around 12,000 spectators as well as TV viewers across the world, Venture’s team is proud to take care of security for the local leg of this high profile annual event.
