Remote video surveillance monitoring. Providing expert support for businesses and CCTV installers

Do you want complete peace of mind that your CCTV system is being monitored and any issues will be immediately reacted to, minimising potential loss and disruption?

VentureSIGHT offers a proactive, cost-effective security solution that keeps your premises protected at all times, even when you’re not on site. A good quality CCTV system (commonly referred to as Video Surveillance Systems or VSS) can act as a great deterrent but without real-time monitoring its benefits are greatly diminished. This is where our trusted, remote monitoring service comes in.

Our professional operators are available to support you 24/7, 365 days a year, or can cover specific times to suit your needs

We can also provide proactive monitoring, such as live surveillance of public spaces or cost-effective virtual ‘patrol tours’ of common areas that may be subject to antisocial behaviour or vandalism.

Depending on your CCTV system, our operators can deliver an audio warning to intruders, warning them that they are being monitored, and that further action will be taken if they continue.

Officers will usually conduct their patrols in pairs and be trained in areas including conflict management, first aid and mental health first aid and crime scene management. They are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year and at any time of the day.

All customers are provided with daily electronic reports and have regular meetings with our team, to review and update on our officer’s progress.

Common
Questions

  • What is the objective of CCTV monitoring?

The objective of CCTV monitoring is to help deter would-be criminals from targeting business premises, while minimising the potential impact of any criminal incidents that do occur. It is a cost-effective alternative to traditional manned security solutions that can help ensure that immediate and appropriate action is taken, with CCTV activations reacted to in real-time. In many cases, having an operator deliver a verbal warning to perpetrators, alerting them to the fact they are being recorded and confirming that further action will be taken against them if they do not leave immediately, can be enough to put an end to the crime. Or further action can be taken where necessary, including alerting key holders, the police and other emergency services.

  • Who is responsible for your CCTV?

Our professional and experienced operators will have responsibility for monitoring your Video Surveillance System from our purpose built, state-of-the-art, Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Andover. The system provides alerts when persons are picked up on camera and our operators will respond to any alarms instantly, identifying any issues and taking appropriate action, also helping reduce the likelihood of false alarms.

  • What are the requirements for CCTV monitoring?

You will need to have a Video Surveillance System in place. If you have yet to install one then we can recommend one of our trusted partners who can help manage the design and installation of a system that uses quality, high-resolution cameras with night vision capabilities and motion detection, ensuring clear footage is captured even in challenging lighting conditions.

The system should be able to detect whether a disturbance has been caused by a human, animal, or weather event, helping reduce false alarms. The ability to deliver an audio warning to intruders is also preferable, as delivering a warning in this way can put an immediate end to criminal acts in many cases.

  • Can I monitor my CCTV from my phone?

Many systems can be monitored using a smartphone and there is nothing to say you should not consider this. However, you should also consider how false alarms will affect you, particularly when you are sleeping, away or out socialising. Our 24/7 Remote Operations Centre is constantly staffed ensuring there is someone there to investigate, close down or escalate the activation.

  • Where should a CCTV monitor be placed?

If you have CCTV monitors on site it is important you follow all relevant privacy rules governing their use, the viewing and sharing of footage, including where they are located and who has access to them. Monitors should be private and only viewed by authorised people.
