Situation

Located on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, Stonehenge is one of the best-known prehistoric monuments in Europe. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, around 1.5 million people visit the iconic landmark each year. Following a competitive tender, Venture was awarded the contract to provide static guarding for the monument around the clock, as well as security for the onsite visitor centre. Additionally, Venture’s team manages security for four popular events held at the site throughout the year, including the renowned Solstice event each summer.

Action

Venture’s guarding team at Stonehenge is made up of 13 full time SIA licensed security officers, with additional team members joining to support the security detail for the quarterly events as required.
