For more than a decade, Venture has been supporting businesses based across central southern England, to keep their property, people and premises safe. In our new ‘spotlight’ series of blogs, we’ll be taking a closer look at some of the key locations it is our pleasure to work in and the many ways we are helping our customers there.
First up, it’s Basingstoke!
Basingstoke in Hampshire is a growing city with a thriving business community that continues to attract commercial organisations and residential buyers alike. An old market town, Basingstoke is also home to many historic sites, including Tudor residence Basing House.
At Venture, we have been working closely with public and private sector organisations based in Basingstoke for many years now. With excellent knowledge of the local area, our experienced security officers can be deployed to a customer’s site in the shortest possible time.
As well as commercial security provision – with our mobile patrols, locks & unlocks, and alarm response services being particularly popular in the area - we also provide a range of residential security services for homeowners, whilst our specialist event security team supports many of the region’s events.
Basingstoke BID Rangers, provided by Venture Security, conduct daily patrols of Basingstoke centre and support Basingstoke BID with its commitment to providing a safer environment, while helping to reduce low level crime and antisocial behaviour.
Our Rangers liaise between all partner organisations, including the police and local authority, providing frontline customer service, handling situations as they arise, acting as a deterrent and supporting the emergency services.
The highly visible presence of our Rangers helps to minimise crime and antisocial behaviour, while offering reassurance to visitors and residents alike.

BLove (previously known as Basingstoke Live) is a free, two-day, music festival organised by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, in association with local promoters. Held at War Memorial Park each July, the lively festival attracts around 10,000 visitors and welcomes a diverse line-up of local, national, and international musical talent.
In 2017, after taking part in a competitive tender, Venture was awarded the security contract for the event. Our experienced event security team now handles all elements of security for the popular event, including comprehensive planning and stakeholder liaison.

Moundsmere are country estate and farm advisors, rural business consultants and letting agents for residential and commercial properties. Since Jan 2019, Venture has been carrying out mobile patrols of the company’s premises in Basingstoke. The site encompasses a manor house set within large grounds, along with a workshop and farm, complete with livestock and horses.
Venture’s mobile patrol officers visit the site at random times throughout the night, checking for issues such as unwanted visitors on site and attempted break-ins, acting as a deterrent and closing any window of opportunity for would-be criminals.
Vita (Europe) Limited researches, develops, manufactures, markets and distributes innovative niche biotech products. Vita is active in the animal health and plant protection industries and has sales in over 60 countries globally, through a network of specialised distributors.
Since February 2013, Venture has provided key holding and alarm response services for the company. Our trained and accredited security personnel are on call 24 hours a day and in the event of an alarm activation, will be quickly on site. This takes away any extra pressure and risk that might otherwise have been placed on employees.
