Situation

Godolphin is a leading independent boarding and day school attended by around 450 female students aged between 3 – 18.

Set in expansive grounds and just a five minute walk from Salisbury city centre, the school boasts multiple buildings, including a performing arts centre, swimming pool and fitness centre.

Venture Security has been providing a range of security services for Godolphin since March 2020. The school first approached Venture for support after noticing that the team was successfully working with another local school in the area.

Godolphin was keen to explore options for outsourcing its own security requirements, following the retirement of an existing security guard. What appealed most to Godolphin about Venture was the fact the company was local and highly experienced, with officers who were fully trained, enhanced DBS checked and SIA licensed.

Task

Venture supports Godolphin by securing the school’s 13 different buildings every day. This includes ensuring all windows and doors are locked and no students remain on the premises. This gives Godolphin confidence that the site, students and facilities are both safe and secure.

Action

Working with Venture has offered consistency and reassurance and relieved the issue of needing to manage staff holidays and illness among in-house security personnel, giving complete peace of mind.

Results

Godolphin has the support and expertise of reliable, polite, professional and highly trained security officers

There is consistency of service with no need to manage the absence of inhouse security personnel

The school has peace of mind that the premises are properly secured each day

There is scope to quickly increase security provision in line with adhoc needs and changing requirements
